Our common ancestor was Henry Scudder, yeoman of Horton Kirby, Kent, who died by November, 1594. Henry^A sons were:

Rev. Henry¹ Scudder remained in England to continue to foster the Puritan cause.

Thomas¹ Scudder (T) immigrated in 1637 to Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1637.

John¹ Scudder died in England by 1626.

John¹’s son John² Scudder (J) immigrated to Charlestown, Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1635 and eventually to Barnstable.

John¹’s daughter Elizabeth² Scudder (E) immigrated to Massachusetts Bay Colony by 1644, first to Boston and then to Barnstable where she married Samuel² Lathrop (Rev. John¹).
