Our common ancestor was Henry Scudder, yeoman of Horton Kirby, Kent, who died by November, 1594. HenryA sons were:

Rev. Henry1 Scudder remained in England to continue to foster the Puritan cause.

Thomas1 Scudder (T) immigrated in 1637 to Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1637.

John1 Scudder died in England by 1626.

John1’s son John2 Scudder (J) immigrated to Charlestown, Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1635 and eventually to Barnstable.

John1’s daughter Elizabeth2 Scudder (E) immigrated to Massachusetts Bay Colony by 1644, first to Boston and then to Barnstable where she married Samuel2 Lathrop (Rev. John1).
